About Us

Chongqing, one of my favorite Chinese cities I've traveled

Hello!

My name is Jennifer, and I grew up in a really small city in China called Taiyuan, where it takes no more than 30 minutes to get from one end of the city to the other. I came to the U.S. when I was 18, and now as a transplant New Yorker, I wanted to help connect the two cultures I love deeply.

I used to be a KOL in China (Key Opinion Leader, fancy local way to say influencer) with a little more than 100K followers. In the U.S., that would have made me a somebody, but in China, that number means you're a nobody. Especially after moving to the other side of the world, I became just another face in the crowd.

One day, while traveling in Alaska on an aurora-chasing tour, a Chinese mother recognized me and said she loved my content and wished I had kept going. In that remote corner of the earth, deep in the Arctic Circle, I realized that no voice is too small, and no corner is too deep to reach—people who resonate with you want to hear what you have to say, no matter how far away they might be.

Thriving in between two cultures, I often find myself correcting the misconceptions my Chinese friends and family have about America, and vice versa. That’s when it hit me: there are kind, friendly people on both sides of the world, yet there’s still a vast divide between them. As someone who understands both sides deeply, I feel the deep urge to help bridge that gap and to show both worlds what the other side is like.

I look forward to helping you, too, find the people who are ready to hear your voice across the sea.
